Laos hosted a formal ceremony today commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The event took place in Vientiane and was attended by Vice President Bounthong Chitmany, Politburo member, alongside high-ranking leaders from the Party, state, National Assembly, Government, Lao Front for National Development, and mass organizations, as well as former Party and state officials.
