(KPL) On January 19, 2026, the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) sent a message of warm greetings to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

The message stated that, on the auspicious occasion of the dignified and significant 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, representing the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the multi-ethnic Lao people, the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party expressed its great joy and extended its most fraternal, heartfelt solidarity and warm congratulations to the Congress and, through it, to all Party members and the Vietnamese people.

The message warmly congratulated the Party, State, and people of Vietnam on the great, comprehensive, and historically significant achievements attained over the past 80 years since the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, particularly during the 40 years of comprehensive renovation, the successful implementation of the resolutions of the 13th Party Congress, and socio-economic development plans in each period. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam has maintained firm political stability, a peaceful and secure society, and sustained high economic growth. Vietnam’s role and prestige have continued to rise both regionally and internationally. These achievements affirm the wise, correct, and creative leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and reflect the unity and determination of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people in striving to build a prosperous, strong, democratic, equitable, and civilized nation with a cultured people.

The message emphasized that the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is a profoundly important political event for the entire Vietnamese Party, State, and people. It marks a new milestone in the development of the Vietnamese revolution, setting forth directions and goals to further advance the comprehensive, systematic, extensive, and in-depth renovation process, leading the country into a new era—the era of the Vietnamese nation’s rise. Building upon the achievements of the 13th Party Congress, the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party firmly believes that, under the wise and experienced leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will continue to achieve new and even greater successes in implementing the resolutions of the 14th Party Congress.

The Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam share common revolutionary roots originating from the Indochinese Communist Party. The Party, State, and multi-ethnic people of Laos consistently affirm that, regardless of changes in the global situation, they will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Party, State, and people of Vietnam to protect, preserve, and enhance the special solidarity relationship between the two countries. This relationship was founded by the great leaders President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Souphanouvong, and has been nurtured by generations of leaders, revolutionary fighters, and peoples of both nations. It has become a priceless common asset, a vital factor for the survival and development of both countries, and a decisive element for the success of the revolution in each nation. Far from fading over time, the special Laos–Vietnam relationship continues to grow stronger and is characterized by a high level of political trust. In the new context, both sides have agreed to elevate their relations to a Great Friendship, Special Solidarity, and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, reflecting the highest political determination of the senior leadership of both countries to bring Laos–Vietnam relations to a new height, deeper and more aligned with the new stage of development.

On this solemn and splendid occasion, the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party sincerely and profoundly expressed its gratitude to the Party, State, and people of Vietnam for their immense, valuable, wholehearted, effective, and timely support and assistance to the Party, State, and people of Laos, both during the past struggle for national liberation and in the current cause of national protection and development.

The message concluded by wishing the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam every success and expressing the hope that the Great Friendship, Special Solidarity, and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two Parties, two States, and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam will continue to flourish forever, remaining enduring and unshakable
