(KPL) On December 3, 2025, Vice President Pany Yathotou has received the outgoing Austrian Ambassador to Laos, Wilhelm Maximilian Donok, as he concludes his diplomatic term in the country.
During the farewell meeting, Ms Yathotou praised Mr Donok for his committed service and his role in strengthening relations between Laos and Austria. She highlighted that the two countries, which have maintained diplomatic ties for 58 years, continue to deepen cooperation through regular high-level exchanges, coordination in international fora, and growing economic and investment links.
The Vice President also extended her best wishes to the ambassador as he returns home and embarks on his next responsibilities.
Mr Donok expressed gratitude for the support he received during his tenure and said he would remain an advocate for further enhancing cooperation between Austria and Laos, aiming to ensure continued benefits for people in both nations.
