During the meeting, Minister Thongsalith expressed his appreciation for the visit and underscored the importance of ongoing cooperation in the fields of education, science, and sports. He highlighted the government’s commitment to improving human resource development and acknowledged the valuable support provided by the GPE and the United States in advancing education in the Lao PDR.

The Minister also shared updates on recent progress and challenges in the education sector, reaffirming the Lao government’s dedication to inclusive and sustainable development in education and youth development.

Both Ms. Miranda and Ambassador Variava extended their congratulations to the Minister on his new role and reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration with the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports. They pledged to support initiatives aimed at enhancing educational quality and access, and to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral partnerships in the sector.
