The Lao Telecommunications Public Company (Lao Telecom) has reaffirmed its commitment to national development by contributing LAK 300 million to support the 4th National Skills Competition and preparations for Lao participants in the upcoming 14th ASEAN Skills Competition.

The handed over was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in Vientiane on May 7 between Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Ms Baikham Khattiya and Director General of Lao Telecom Souphol Chanthavixay.
Minister Baikham expressed her sincere gratitude to the Lao Telecom for its generous support, noting that such contributions play a crucial role in fostering skilled labor development, promoting economic value, and strengthening Laos’competitiveness at both regional and international levels.
“This sponsorship not only enhances the skills competition but also encourages our youth and vocational students to showcase their talents,” said Minister Baikham. “It provides a national platform to inspire the next generation to pursue vocational excellence and contribute meaningfully to the country’s development.”
The National Skills Competition serves as a critical training ground and gateway for young Lao professionals preparing to represent the country in international competitions. It also highlights the diverse talents and capabilities of Lao workers from all ethnic backgrounds.
Lao Telecom stated that it takes great pride in supporting the growth of the Lao human capital. The company remains committed to helping build a skilled workforce capable of meeting global standards and will continue to contribute to national development efforts across all sectors.
