General Secretary Thongloun lays a wreath in memory of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong

ຂປລ (KPL) On the afternoon of July 25, 2024, Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao PDR, along with senior leaders, laid a wreath in memory of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Hanoi, Vietnam.

(KPL) On the afternoon of July 25, 2024, Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao PDR, along with senior leaders, laid a wreath in memory of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Hanoi, Vietnam.

On this sorrowful occasion, Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith also represented the Party, government, National Assembly, organizations, and multi-ethnic Lao people in signing a condolence book to express deep sorrow and condolences for the passing of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong was a highly knowledgeable and theoretical figure, contributing significantly to Vietnam's socio-economic development. He had deeply studied Marxism-Leninism, the path to socialism, and most importantly, he applied Ho Chi Minh’s ideology to lead and develop Vietnam.

His passing is a great loss of a revolutionary leader for the Party, government, and people of Vietnam. Throughout his life, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong dedicated his efforts and wisdom to the national liberation mission, unification, and the Party's renovation work, particularly in building a strong and transparent Party and combating corruption and negative phenomena, thus ensuring Vietnam's constant development and elevated status regionally and globally.

Moreover, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong made significant, valuable, and crucial contributions to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, which have been continually strengthened.

His passing is a loss of the closest, dearest comrade to the Party, State, and multi-ethnic Lao people.
