MICT Minister Receives Outgoing EU Ambassador Ina Marciulionyte

ຂປລ (KPL) On July 11, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Ms. Suansavanh Viyaket received a courtesy visit in Vientiane from the outgoing Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Lao PDR, Ms. Ina Marciulionyte, on the occasion of completing her diplomatic duties in the Lao PDR.

(KPL) On July 11, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Ms. Suansavanh Viyaket received a courtesy visit in Vientiane from the outgoing Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Lao PDR, Ms. Ina Marciulionyte, on the occasion of completing her diplomatic duties in the Lao PDR.

During the amicable talks, Ms. Suansavanh expressed her welcome and congratulations to Ms. Marciulionyte for her successful tenure in the Lao PDR, which significantly contributed to the development of friendly relations between the Lao PDR and the EU.

She highlighted the ambassador's active role in promoting cooperation across various areas, especially in priority sectors of Laos' national socio-economic development plan, including basic education, nutrition, food security, and media.

The minister also wished the ambassador a safe home trip, good health, and success in her new responsibilities, and asked her to continue serving as a bridge of friendship between the Lao PDR and the EU.

In response, Ambassador Marciulionyte expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to visit the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism. She appreciated the cooperation between the EU and the Lao PDR over the recent years and thanked the Party and Government of Laos for their support throughout her diplomatic mission, which led to its successful completion.
