Oudomxay welcomes over 113,000 visitors in the first six months

ຂປລ (KPL) In the first half of 2024, Oudomxay Province saw an influx of over 113,000 tourists, generating a total of US$6.5 million in revenue.

(KPL) In the first half of 2024, Oudomxay Province saw an influx of over 113,000 tourists, generating a total of US$6.5 million in revenue. This was reported by Mr. Bounkhong Larchiemphone, Governor of Oudomxay Province, last week.

The governor highlighted the province’s efforts to enhance the quality of its tourism services, including hotels, guesthouses, resorts, restaurants, and tourist attractions. A notable development is the Namkat Yora Pa Resort, which has achieved a 5-star certification. The resort also features the Namkat Yora Pa Biodiversity Museum, the first of its kind in the Lao PDR and the third in the world.

The Charming Lao Hotel and Le Grand Pak Bang Resort have been certified as ASEAN Green Standard accommodations, reflecting their commitment to sustainable practices. Additionally, a contract has been signed for the construction of the Udomxay Landmark Hotel, with construction set to commence soon.

To further boost tourism, Oudomxay has organized a traditional ethnic festival as part of the Visit Laos Year 2024 celebrations. The province boasts a variety of attractions, including natural, historical, and cultural sites. All of which have seen significant development to enhance visitor experience.
