(KPL) Thirty beauty contestants selected among hundreds of candidates across the country have been shortlisted for Miss Laos 2023.

Miss Laos 2023 organizer Khompanya Entertainment Event announced the shortlists at an event held at Parkson in Vientiane on Nov 24.

Lao Youth Union Director for Youth Affairs Meena Sivilay, President of the Lao Journalists Association Savankhone Razmountry, President of the Miss Lao Project Khompanya Phengvinaiya, Miss Laos Project Director Saysananorlasing Sisan, Vice Chairman of Thatluang Lake Special Economic Zone Huang Xiuwen, and representatives of other Miss Laos sponsors attended the announcement.

“Miss Laos project is a stage for Lao young women with good personality, and communication skills who can promote Lao culture to the world,” said Miss Lao Project President Khompanya Phengvinaiya.

“Miss Laos project is an important stage. Its winner will represent Lao women in regional and international competitions. Specifically this year, Miss Laos will serve as Lao ambassador to promote Visit Laos Year 2024,” said Lao Youth Union Director for Youth Affairs Meena Sivilay.

Miss Laos 2023 crown unveiled 

The general public is invited to vote for their favourite contestants on MISS LAOS Facebook. Miss Laos 2023 final round will be held at the National Convention Centre on December 15.

In celebrating its 15th anniversary, Miss Laos project is organizing new activities to promote Lao economy, Lao products and the use of Lao national currency kip, according to Mr Khompanya Phengvinaiya.
