The 2026 Bolaven Plateau Coffee-Tea and Agricultural Produce Festival will be held in Pakse City, Champasack Province, from November 25-29, featuring product exhibitions, industry seminars, coffee brewing competitions and visits to agricultural production sites.

(KPL) The festival will take place at the Arawan Riverside Hotel and the Champasack Provincial Stadium grounds at Kilometer 2, bringing together coffee producers, businesses, industry associations and participants from Laos and abroad to promote local agricultural products and expand market opportunities.
Provincial authorities and the organising committee met on October 16 to review preparations. The meeting was chaired by Vice Governor of Champasack Province Phimphon Phandanouvong and attended by representatives of Pakse City, Paksong District, the Lao Coffee Association and relevant agencies.
The Lao Coffee Association reported that preparations for the main stage, sponsor areas and exhibition booths were under way. Organisers aim to establish approximately 60 booths showcasing products from business associations, factories, companies, producer groups and coffee shops from Champasack, other provinces and overseas.
A total of 252 domestic and international guests are expected to be invited to the opening ceremony, excluding foreign businesses participating in the exhibition.
The festival will also host seminars on the updated Lao Coffee Development Strategy, financing opportunities for producer cooperatives, export trade and starting a coffee shop. Participants will include government representatives, businesses, educational institutions, industry associations, cooperatives and agricultural producer groups from southern Laos.
Visits to five production sites are also planned to give participants an opportunity to learn more about local agricultural production.
Coffee brewing competitions will be held in two categories: Brewer and Latte Art. The Brewer competition will begin with a draw on the afternoon of November 26, followed by preliminary rounds on November 27 and the final on November 28. A workshop and award ceremony for winners and runners-up are scheduled for November 29.
The Brewer competition will offer prizes of 10 million kip for first place, 5 million kip for second place, 3 million kip for third place and 1 million kip for fourth place.
The meeting also discussed recommendations to ensure the festival runs smoothly and reviewed the work of the provincial ad hoc committee responsible for managing coffee purchasing and exports.
