(KPL) The Lao Toyota FC has been announced as the latest champion of the Lao Premier League 2015 following its 3-1 victory over the Ministry of Public Security on Sunday.
As a result, Lao Toyota has been selected to represent Laos in the first round of qualifiers against Cambodia in Vientiane Capital on November 1, and Myanmar in Myanmar on 22 Nov.
The winning team of the first round will play Vietnam in Vietnam on 6 December. The winner of this round will play in the final in Thailand against the host country on Dec 20. The winner of the final will be awarded US$75,000.
The Lao Premier League 2015 award ceremony was held on 25 October at the stadium of the National University of Laos in Vientiane Capital in the presence of the Vice President of the Lao Football Federation, Mr Pasith Souphab and relevant officials.
The Toyota Mekong Club Championship 2015 includes the five countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
“Each country has a chance to host the tournament so it can be part of the game. Not only football fans but also the team supporters can enjoy this event together,” said General Manager of the Representative office of Toyota Motor Thailand Sahachat Kangsisitiam.
Tickets for the matches to be held in Laos are available at Toyota authorized dealers nationwide, Toyota representative offices, and at the stadium on match day.
The Toyota Mekong Club Championship is a football tournament among champions from Mekong countries that was initiated by Toyota Motor Asia Pacific (TMAP) in 2014 to show Toyota’s support for the development of football in the Mekong countries.
