(KPL) On January 7, 2026 in Vientiane, Mr. Vongmany Pheupasa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor of Luang Namtha Province, has expressed pride and honor in representing the Party Committee and Party members of Luang Namtha at the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, being held from January 6–8, 2026.
In an interview with the Lao News Agency on January 7, Mr. Vongmany said the Congress holds profound historical significance, as it will approve several important documents, including the 3rd Political Programme of the Party Central Committee, the Political Report of the 12th Party Central Committee, the 10th Five-Year National Socio-Economic Development Plan, and the Party Statutes for the 12th term.
He noted that the Congress will also elect the 12th Party Central Committee, which will continue to lead the cause of national defence, construction, and development toward greater prosperity over the next five years.
As a provincial leader participating in the Congress, Mr. Vongmany said he has gained valuable insights, particularly from the Political Report and the Socio-Economic Development Plan. He affirmed his commitment to applying the core principles and orientations of these documents to his areas of responsibility, including human resource development, education and sports, public health, culture and tourism, labour, and social welfare.
He emphasized that this approach aims to ensure that policies and plans are translated into practical actions that can be effectively implemented in real life and deliver maximum results.
Mr. Vongmany also called on all Party members, civil servants, armed forces, police officers, traders, businesspeople, intellectuals, and people of all ethnic groups—at both central and local levels, as well as those following the Congress through national television and online platforms—to closely follow the proceedings, particularly the outcomes of the Congress.
He encouraged all sectors of society to thoroughly understand and apply the Congress’s resolutions in their respective work, especially in the effective implementation of the national Socio-Economic Development Plan, to achieve greater successes in the years ahead.
