Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith received Thai Ambassador to Laos Krongkanit Rakcharoen at the Prime Minister's Office on October 6, 2026.
(KPL) Ambassador Krongkanit conveyed congratulations from the Thai Prime Minister and Government on Mr Saleumxay's appointment as Prime Minister and presented a basket of flowers.
She expressed confidence in his leadership and reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to strengthening the friendship and strategic partnership between Laos and Thailand for sustainable development.
Prime Minister Saleumxay thanked the Thai Government and people for their congratulations and reaffirmed the Lao Government's commitment to working closely with Thailand to advance bilateral agreements and joint projects.
He highlighted cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity and people-to-people exchanges, saying these efforts would bring practical benefits to both countries and contribute to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
Prime Minister Saleumxay also conveyed his regards to the Thai Prime Minister and expressed his hope for an opportunity to meet and work closely together in the future.
