Located just over 30 kilometers from Saravane town, the site draws both domestic and international tourists with its picturesque waterfalls and serene natural landscape.
(KPL) Tad Hang, a renowned eco-tourism destination in Ban Houa Khua Set, Lao Ngam District, is preparing to welcome a surge of visitors during the upcoming Lao New Year 2025. Located just over 30 kilometers from Saravane town, the site draws both domestic and international tourists with its picturesque waterfalls and serene natural landscape.
Sonthida Ounaphom, president of Tad Lo – Tad Hang Tourism Development Co., Ltd., said preparations are complete to accommodate the expected influx of holidaymakers. “We’re ready in every aspect — from improved infrastructure to enhanced services,” she said.
In addition to its natural beauty, the site offers restaurants, scenic viewpoints, and accommodation. A key attraction is the display of local products under the "One District, One Product" (ODOP) initiative, showcasing unique handicrafts, textiles, and foods from across Saravane Province.
A vibrant community market will also be in place, where locals sell traditional goods such as grilled native chicken and khao lam (sticky rice in bamboo), offering visitors an authentic taste of the region’s culture.
Organizers say vendors are allowed to exhibit and sell products free of charge in order to boost small business visibility and stimulate local trade. “We want to highlight the unique identity of each district in Saravane while supporting community livelihoods,” said Ounaphom.
The Tad Lo – Tad Hang site is currently undergoing further beautification and infrastructure upgrades, with full completion expected by the end of 2025. Officials hope the improvements will make the site a year-round tourism magnet for both local and international travelers.
