ຂປລ Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone participated in the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit in Kunming, China on Nov 7.

(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone participated in the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit in Kunming, China on Nov 7.

The summit, under the theme “Friendship and Solidarity for a Resilient and Prosperous Community,” was chaired by Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing, Prime Minister of Myanmar.

During the summit, participants reviewed recent progress in implementing the CLMV cooperation initiatives and discussed future collaboration frameworks.

They emphasized encouraging support and engagement from CLMV development partners. The summit concluded with the adoption of a joint statement and the handover of the chairmanship for the 12th CLMV Summit to Vietnam.

While in Kunming, Prime Minister Sonexay held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Myanmar and Vietnam. 

He also received courtesy calls from the President of the Asian Development Bank and senior leaders of Yunnan Province, discussing efforts to further strengthen cooperation in various fields, especially socio-economic development in the region.
