UNICEF awarded 2nd Class Medal of Development

ຂປລ (KPL) The government of Laos has awarded 2nd Class Medal of Development to the United Nations Children Fund - UNICEF in recognition of its active contribution to child right promotion in the Lao PDR over the past 30 years.

(KPL) The government of Laos has awarded 2nd Class Medal of Development to the United Nations Children Fund - UNICEF in recognition of its active contribution to child right promotion in the Lao PDR over the past 30 years.

At a ceremony held at the National Convention Center, Vientiane, President of the Lao Women's Union and Standing Vice President of the National Commission for the Advancement of Women, Mothers and Children - CAWMC - MMs Inlavanh Keobounphan presented the medal to UNICEF Representative Pia Rebello Britto on behalf of the government of the Lao PDR on Nov 25. 

Medals were also awarded to representatives of the private sector, NGOs and civil society organizations, and development partners to recognize their contribution to child right promotion.
