KPL On October 14, 2025, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone received General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and his delegation, who were on a working visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

(KPL) On October 14, 2025, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone received General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and his delegation, who were on a working visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The visit coincided with the Trilateral Meeting of Defence Ministers of Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, held from October 13–16, and the joint disaster relief exercise involving the three armed forces.

Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone warmly welcomed General Tea Seiha and highly valued his visit and participation in the trilateral activities, which he said play an important role in strengthening solidarity, friendship, and cooperation among the three countries. He emphasized that these engagements contribute to further deepening the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Cambodia, particularly between their respective armed forces.

The Prime Minister also underlined the importance of continued cooperation in maintaining peace and stability along the shared border, as well as in combating transnational crime, human trafficking, smuggling, and other illegal activities.

In response, General Tea Seiha expressed his sincere appreciation to Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone for the warm and cordial welcome. He also briefed the Prime Minister on the objectives of his visit and reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to further advancing cooperation between the two Ministries of National Defence.
