(KPL) Mr. Han Zheng, Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, met with Mrs. Pany Yathotou, Vice President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, who was in Beijing to attend the Global Summit of Women.
During the meeting, Vice President Han Zheng emphasized that China and Laos are socialist comrades and brothers who have always supported each other on issues concerning their respective core interests. He noted that the recent meeting between President Xi Jinping and President Thongloun Sisoulith had outlined a clear roadmap for advancing the building of a China–Laos community with a shared future.
Mr. Han reaffirmed that China attaches great importance to its relations with Laos from a strategic and long-term perspective. He expressed China’s readiness to work closely with Laos to implement the consensus reached between the two Parties and States, using the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation and bring tangible benefits to both peoples.
Vice President Pany Yathotou conveyed appreciation for China’s consistent support to Laos and praised President Xi Jinping’s important speech delivered at the Global Summit of Women as profound and visionary. She reaffirmed that the Lao Party and Government firmly support China in safeguarding its core interests and expressed Laos’s commitment to further deepening comprehensive cooperation, ensuring that the Laos–China community with a shared future continues to achieve new and greater results.
