Delegation from Jiangsu Province Visits and Works in the Lao PDR

KPL In response to an invitation from the Vientiane Capital Office, a delegation from Jiangsu Province, China, led by Mr. Chu Yonghong, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Jiangsu Province, paid a working visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from October 14–16, 2025. The delegation comprised nine members in total.

(KPL) In response to an invitation from the Vientiane Capital Office, a delegation from Jiangsu Province, China, led by Mr. Chu Yonghong, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Jiangsu Province, paid a working visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from October 14–16, 2025. The delegation comprised nine members in total.

On October 14, the delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr. Phet Phomphiphak, Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Office, and President of the Lao–China Friendship Association at the central level.

Mr. Phet Phomphiphak warmly welcomed the delegation and highly valued their visit, noting that it contributes to promoting and strengthening the friendship and the strategic, comprehensive, and long-term cooperative partnership between Laos and China, under the “Four Goods” principle and the framework of the Laos–China Community with a Shared Future.

For his part, Mr. Chu Yonghong expressed sincere appreciation for the warm reception and provided an overview of Jiangsu Province and the activities of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. He affirmed that Jiangsu will continue to enhance cooperation with the Lao–China Friendship Association, serving as a bridge to strengthen relations across multiple sectors previously established by the two sides.

He also emphasized the importance of increasing mutual exchanges between the people of Jiangsu Province and Laos, particularly in education, culture, tourism, trade, and investment, to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
