Industry and Commerce Ministry Announces New Leadership Following Merger with Energy and Mines

KPL The Ministry of Industry and Commerce unveiled its new leadership on June 18, following its merger with the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

(KPL) The Ministry of Industry and Commerce unveiled its new leadership on June 18, following its merger with the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

The announcement ceremony was overseen by Mr. Khamphanh Phommathat, a Politburo member and Vice Chairman of the Committee on Organisational Restructuring, who is responsible for the merger.

Eleven key officials were appointed to lead the newly formed ministry, including Mr. Malaythong Kommasith as Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Mr. Chansaveng Bounyong, Mr. Chanthaboun Soukaloun and Mr. Manothong Vongxay as Deputy Ministers.
