(KPL)On November 20, Japanese Ambassador to Laos Mr Kobayashi Kenichi hosted a networking reception at the Ambassador's official residence on the occasion of a JETRO-sponsored logistics and related service industry investment mission.
Ambassador Kobayashi said that Laos is rapidly changing from a landlocked to a land-linked country with recently enhanced connectivity. An increasing number of Japanese companies are seeking business opportunities in Laos in the logistics, tourism, roadside development, manufacturing, agriculture, and other related service industries.
JETRO is organizing a mission focusing on Laos’ logistics infrastructure, dry ports, border facilities, etc. for Japanese companies considering expansion into Laos in the logistics and related services sector.
The visit of this mission includes Thana Lane Dry Port, the Lao-China Railway, Borten's stations and freight facilities and so on.
On this occasion, the Embassy of Japan invited Japanese companies already operating in Laos, Lao government officials, Lao companies, etc. to a networking reception.
