Vice President Bids Farewell to Outgoing Mongolian Ambassador

KPL Vice President Pany Yathotou received a farewell visit from Mr. Byambasuren Jamsran, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Lao PDR, on May 8, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in the country.

(KPL) Vice President Pany Yathotou received a farewell visit from Mr. Byambasuren Jamsran, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Lao PDR, on May 8, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in the country.

During the meeting, Vice President Yathotou congratulated Ambassador Jamsran on successfully completing his more than three-year tenure in the Lao PDR, during which he achieved significant accomplishments and contributed to the deepening of bilateral ties.

She praised the long-standing friendship and growing cooperation between Laos and Mongolia, which have flourished since the establishment of diplomatic relations on September 12, 1962. Ambassador Jamsran was commended for his key role in promoting bilateral cooperation, including facilitating high-level exchanges and supporting the signing of 18 agreements related to bilateral relations and cooperation.

The ambassador also played a vital role in fostering ongoing projects and programs between the two governments, notably the successful organization of the 12th Meeting of the Lao-Mongolian Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation, held from January 26–28, 2025, in Vientiane.

Vice President Yathotou expressed appreciation for Mongolia’s continued support, which has significantly contributed to the strengthening of bilateral ties. She extended her best wishes to Ambassador Jamsran for a safe journey home and success in his future endeavors.

In response, Ambassador Jamsran conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Lao government and people for their support throughout his mission. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving as a bridge for further enhancing the friendship and cooperation between Laos and Mongolia.
