Over 814,000 vaccinated against Covid-19

KPL (KPL) Over 814,000 people nationwide have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as of May 26, 2021, according to the Centre of Information and Education for Health, Ministry of Health.

(KPL) Over 814,000 people nationwide have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as of May 26, 2021, according to the Centre of Information and Education for Health, Ministry of Health.

The number includes over 639,000 people given first doses and over 174,000 given second shots. 

Vientiane, hardest hit by covid-19, has over 227,000 people vaccinated with first doses of covid-19 vaccine and over 54,000 given second shots as of May 26.

Over 83,200 and more than 65,900 have been vaccinated in Bokeo and Champassak, respectively.

Twelve new confirmed cases of Covid-19 were reported this morning, the National Taskforce Committee for Covid -19 Prevention and Control told a press conference this morning.

The new infected included five in Champassak, four in Vientiane and three in Savannakhet. Only Vientiane had local transmissions reported today.   

Laos currently places the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases at 1,895 including 1,281 recoveries, 612 active cases, two deaths.

Twenty covid-19 patients were discharged from hospital today.
