(KPL) Laopao Xong Navongxay, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Party Central committee propaganda and training board, led a delegation on a working visit to Khammouane Province starting Feb 23 to review political-ideological work and public opinion trends.
On Feb 24, he chaired a meeting with provincial leaders and relevant sectors to assess the implementation of public opinion monitoring and dissemination of Party-State policies.
Provincial officials reported continued efforts in ideological education and communication, while noting challenges including limited understanding of policies among some officials, enforcement shortcomings and socio-economic pressures affecting public sentiment.
Authorities also highlighted the need to address social issues and improve communication capacity among officials to prevent public misunderstandings.
Participants agreed to strengthen systematic monitoring of public opinion, enhance inter-sector coordination, expand information networks and ensure timely responses to emerging concerns.
Officials said the working visit aims to improve governance effectiveness and reinforce political stability at the provincial level.
