The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Lao PDR will host 2026 Korea Week in Vientiane on September 5–6, offering the public an opportunity to experience Korean culture, cuisine, entertainment and development cooperation.
The two-day event will be held on the first floor of Vientiane Center, featuring exhibitions and activities showcasing Korea’s cultural diversity and its cooperation with Laos.
Korean official development assistance (ODA) agencies will present their achievements and ongoing projects in Laos, with special booths highlighting agricultural cooperation under the theme “K-Agriculture.”
Visitors can also enjoy a Random Play Dance session from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., try Korean-inspired outfits, sample Korean food and participate in activities featuring traditional and contemporary Korean culture.
A Taekwondo competition, co-hosted by the Korean Embassy and the Lao Taekwondo Federation, will bring together athletes from across Laos. Finalists will also demonstrate their Korean language skills on stage.
The event aims to deepen public understanding of Korean culture while highlighting the longstanding Lao-Republic of Korea partnership in development and other areas.
