Scientific Seminar Highlights International Law and Party Diplomatic Protocol

KPL On August 26, 2026, the Committee for External Relations of the Party Central Committee (CERP) organized a scientific seminar on “International Law and Treaties to which the Lao PDR is a Party” and “Party Diplomatic Protocol Work” to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of National Constitution Day and the 51st Anniversary of the Seizure of Power Day.

(KPL) On August 26, 2026, the Committee for External Relations of the Party Central Committee (CERP) organized a scientific seminar on “International Law and Treaties to which the Lao PDR is a Party” and “Party Diplomatic Protocol Work” to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of National Constitution Day and the 51st Anniversary of the Seizure of Power Day.

The seminar was chaired by Singhanakhone Sihalath, President of the Committee of the CERP Trade Union and Head of the CERP Office, and attended by officials from the three mass organizations under the CERP.

The seminar aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of international laws and treaties to which the Lao PDR is a party, while enhancing practical skills in diplomatic protocol, including international etiquette, official receptions, and arrangements for bilateral and multilateral meetings in accordance with international standards.

Hongsa Inthilath, Deputy Director General of the Department of Treaties and Law under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented on international law and treaties, while Bounmaningern Southammavong, Acting Head of the CERP Protocol Division, presented on Party diplomatic protocol.

The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session, allowing participants to exchange views and strengthen their ability to apply the knowledge and skills gained in their practical work.
