(KPL) Lao Brewery Co., Ltd. has provided more than 600 million kip worth of relief supplies to families affected by flooding in seven central and southern provinces.
On August 22, the company’s management and staff joined a government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Santiphab Phomvihane, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Khamphan Phommathat, and Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Phohsay Xayasone to deliver assistance to affected communities in Bolikhamxay, Khammouane, Savannakhet, Saravane, Champasak, Sekong and Attapeu provinces.
The relief package included 10,000 packs of 1.5-litre Tigerhead drinking water and 4,000 packs of soft drinks, aimed at providing safe drinking water and essential support to flood-affected families.
Mr. Henrik Andersen, Managing Director of Lao Brewery, said the company considers social responsibility an integral part of its operations and remains committed to supporting communities during natural disasters and other difficult times.
The flooding followed days of heavy rainfall caused by monsoon conditions and seasonal storms in early August, affecting communities, agricultural areas and infrastructure in several parts of the country.
