(KPL) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez participated in the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) Global Youth Summit, held in Cuba from March 11-13 under the theme "Amplifying youth voices in ICTs for an inclusive and connected future."
During the event, President Díaz-Canel held a cordial meeting with Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau.
He expressed gratitude for Cuba's selection as the host country and praised the strong cooperation between Cuba and the ITU.
Their discussions focused on critical topics such as artificial intelligence, youth empowerment in the digital world, and Cuba's experience in early warning of natural disasters.

The Global Youth Summit (GYS-25) provided a dynamic platform for dialogue among youth, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
It emphasized addressing the ICT needs of young people to support their educational and socio-economic development, while exploring ways to ensure their meaningful participation in the digital economy, society, and environment.
While youth are the most active online, older generations possess valuable experience to inspire and equip the younger population for a more inclusive digital future.
