(KPL) The construction and improvement of the Party are crucial because the Lao People's Revolutionary Party is a revolutionary political party rooted in Marxism-Leninism, a new type of party representing the working class, and always upholding the rights and interests of the working class, Lao laborers, and all ethnic groups.

Furthermore, the Party serves as a decisive factor and guarantees victory in the socialist construction of our country. Given its pivotal role, building and improving the Party aims to enhance its capacity to lead the nation’s revolutionary mission toward achieving its socialist goals.

Mr. Visouk Phomphithak, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, emphasized that the Party's political duties in the new era must focus on accelerating its construction and self-strengthening. This is essential for the Party to fulfill its historical responsibility of leading the Lao people of all ethnic groups in completing the national revolutionary cause at each stage.

Specifically, the Party must lead the comprehensive innovation process based on its principles, gradually overcoming economic difficulties, improving the material and spiritual lives of the people, and ensuring the Party remains secure and strong in all aspects.

This will enable it to effectively lead the state and the construction of socialism in our country, achieving steady victories at every step.

The new mission has brought forth numerous challenges related to the demands of the Party's leadership. These include the need to elevate the Party's political level in setting guidelines and implementing effective methods to address emerging challenges. It is imperative to raise class consciousness, remain steadfast in socialist ideals, ensure that no Party members are reluctant or hesitant in executing the Party's goals and principles, and effectively counter the hostile plots of adversaries.

Ideological Development

The Party must build a cadre of Party members and civil servants who are patriotic, loyal, and capable of meeting the growing demands of the innovation policy. They must liberate their thinking from small-scale, scattered, private, and selfish producer mentalities and embrace the thinking of the working class.

Organizational Strengthening

The Party must foster a strong sense of organization, enforce strict discipline, and ensure adherence to rules, principles, and laws. This will create a robust foundation for effective governance and leadership.

Leadership Reform

The Party must adopt a leadership style that is scientific, democratic, and research-based, resolving important issues collectively. It must address authoritarian work practices, avoid unilateral decision-making, and oppose the tendencies of talking without action, theory without practice, and holding excessive meetings with low efficiency and low effectiveness. Work must be focused, and deeply connected to the grassroots.

Economic Leadership

In leading the state to carry out its political duties, the Party must develop a clear system of economic perspectives, prioritizing economic development and the improvement of people's living conditions as central tasks. The Party must select and appoint individuals with deep economic knowledge, a high sense of responsibility, integrity, and creativity to lead state economic units, and resolutely solve problems in a timely manner.
