(KPL/Prensa Latina) Russia’s and China’s Foreign Ministers, Sergey Lavrov and Wang Yi, respectively, discussed preparations for the B summit in the Russian city of Kazan, according to a statement issued today by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the meeting held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, dealt with eventual new contacts between the leaders of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and China, Xi Jinping.

The sides highly appreciated the development of political dialogue and practical interaction between Russia and China against the background of increasing turbulence in the international situation.

Moscow and Beijing consider illegitimate Western sanctions that undermine the stability of the world economy.

Both Lavrov and Wang pointed out that restrictions by the U.S. and the European Union undermine the sustainability of the world economy and universal forms of trade and economic interaction.
