His passing is a great loss of a brilliant, courageous leader for the Party, State, and people of Vietnam. Throughout his revolutionary career, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong dedicated his life, efforts, and intellect to the mission of protecting and developing the nation of Vietnam, especially in the role of leading the country towards continuous progress and enhancing transparency within the Party, State, and society.

The passing of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong is not only a significant loss for his family, the Party, State, and people of Vietnam, but also a loss of the closest friend for the Party, State, and people of all ethnic groups of the Lao PDR.
