His passing is a great loss of a brilliant, courageous leader for the Party, State, and people of Vietnam. Throughout his revolutionary career, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong dedicated his life, efforts, and intellect to the mission of protecting and developing the nation of Vietnam, especially in the role of leading the country towards continuous progress and enhancing transparency within the Party, State, and society.

The passing of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong is not only a significant loss for his family, the Party, State, and people of Vietnam, but also a loss of the closest friend for the Party, State, and people of all ethnic groups of the Lao PDR. He always showed concern and dedication to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

With firm belief that under the clear-sighted leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the steadfast governance of the Government, and the unity of the people of Vietnam, this sorrow will be transformed into a strong force to continue to transform Vietnam into an industrialized, modernized, and strong country with a prosperous and happy population in the near future.
