ຂປລ (KPL) Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suansavanh Viyaketh received here in Vientiane on May 21 a courtesy visit from Ambassador of Belarus to the Lao PDR Uladzimir Baravikou.

(KPL) Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suansavanh Viyaketh received here in Vientiane on May 21 a courtesy visit from Ambassador of Belarus to the Lao PDR Uladzimir Baravikou.

At amicable talks, Minister Suansavanh highly appreciated Mr Uladzimir Baravikou’s contribution to strengthening the relationship and cooperation between Laos and Belarus.

She noted that the cooperation between the two countries have witnessed noticeable achievements especially in the fields of information, culture and tourism.

The two sides jointly organized the Lao Cultural Week in Belarus in 2015 and the Belarusian Cultural Week in the Lao PDR in 2016.

The two countries plan to hold cultural weeks to promote their respective cultures in 2025.

The visiting ambassador also informed the host about the outcomes of his talks with local officials on how to promote friendly relations and sound cooperation between Laos and Belarus over years to come.
