(KPL) On January 5, 2025 — A handover ceremony for financial contributions supporting the convening of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party was held on January 5, 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Office. The Congress is scheduled to take place from January 6–8, 2025, in Vientiane Capital.
Representing the government, the funds were officially received by Mr. Saleumxay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Budget and Administration Committee. Also in attendance were Deputy Ministers, the Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Minister of Finance, representatives of the Party Central Committee Office, and other relevant officials.
On this occasion, contributing entities included the Lao Telecom Group, which provided 1.2 billion kip, handed over by Mr. Souphonh Chanthavixay, Director General of Lao Telecom Group, and the Agricultural Promotion Bank Limited, which contributed 1 billion kip, presented by Mr. Philavanh Somphamixay, Director of the Agricultural Promotion Bank Limited.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Saleumxay Kommasith, on behalf of the government and the Budget and Administration Committee, expressed sincere appreciation to the contributing organizations for their valuable support. He noted that these contributions play an important role in ensuring the smooth and successful organization of the 12th National Party Congress in line with its objectives.
He further affirmed that all funds received will be managed and utilized appropriately, strictly for their intended purposes, and in a manner that maximizes effectiveness and overall benefit.
