Provincial Election Committee Inspects NA and PPC Election Preparations in Khounkham District

KPL On January 21, 2026, the Khammuan Provincial Election Committee conducted a working visit to Khounkham District to inspect and support preparations for the upcoming elections of the 10th National Assembly (NA) and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils (PPC).

(KPL) On January 21, 2026, the Khammuan Provincial Election Committee conducted a working visit to Khounkham District to inspect and support preparations for the upcoming elections of the 10th National Assembly (NA) and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils (PPC).

The delegation was led by Ms. Bang-on Xayasith, Vice President of the Khammuan Provincial People’s Council.

The district election committee reported on its organizational progress, detailing the division of responsibilities among sub-committees, operational plans, budget management, and the collection of voter statistics.

Khounkham District has a population of 25,123 people across 22 villages. The district has more than 17,700 eligible Voters with over 1,200 voters currently residing outside the district and over 1,100 eligible voters working abroad.

There are 23 polling stations and 4 mobile voting units across the district.

During the visit, officials discussed detailed preparations aimed at ensuring the elections' success according to four key targets: 100% Voter Turnout: All eligible voters exercising their rights; 100% Accuracy: The voting process conducted correctly and properly; 100% Security: Total peace and security maintained during the election; and 100% Transparency: Ensuring all electoral procedures are clear and transparent.
