A provincial delegation led by Mr. Siviengxay Orlaboun, Vice President of the Vientiane Provincial Administration Committee and a member of the Provincial Election Committee, visited Sanakham District, Vientiane Province, on January 22, 2026. The purpose of the visit was to encourage and monitor preparations for the elections of the 10th National Assembly (NA) and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils (PPC).
(KPL) A provincial delegation led by Mr. Siviengxay Orlaboun, Vice President of the Vientiane Provincial Administration Committee and a member of the Provincial Election Committee, visited Sanakham District, Vientiane Province, on January 22, 2026. The purpose of the visit was to encourage and monitor preparations for the elections of the 10th National Assembly (NA) and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils (PPC).
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Keo Phimmavong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Sanakham District Party, alongside members of the District Election Committee, civil servants, soldiers, police, and local authorities.
Core Documents and Guidelines Reviewed
The central focus of the meeting was the comprehensive review of essential documents and directives for the upcoming elections.
Officials studied: the Resolutions of the Party Central Committee Politburo; documents on strengthening political thought and promoting the democratic rights of the multi-ethnic people; the significance of the Law on Elections for the National Assembly and Provincial People’s Councils; instructions concerning the roles of National Defense and Public Security during the election period; and guidelines for budget planning and management.
Specific National Election Committee (NEC) instructions on campaigning, public mobilization, and the awarding of commendations were also reviewed.
On this occasion, Mr. Siviengxay Orlaboun emphasized that this dissemination meeting is a critical step in fostering a vibrant atmosphere and ensuring nationwide readiness. He urged all district officials to thoroughly study and master the content of these documents to effectively explain them to citizens and eligible voters in their localities.
The ultimate objective is to ensure the successful organization of the 10th NA and 5th PPC elections, meeting the following "100% Success Targets":
100% Voter Turnout: Ensuring all eligible voters cast their ballots.
100% Legal Compliance: Guiding voters to exercise their rights correctly in accordance with election laws and regulations.
100% Security: Maintaining absolute peace and social order throughout the electoral process.
100% Transparency and Timeliness: Ensuring the entire voting process is transparent and completed within the official schedule.
