(KPL) The Central Propaganda and Training Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) organized a special lecture on October 8, 2025, to commemorate two historic milestones — the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) and the 105th Birthday of President Kaysone Phomvihane, the founding leader of the Party and the nation.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, Deputy Prime Minister, and attended by Mr. Khamphanh Pheuyavong, Head of the Central Propaganda and Training Committee, along with department heads, deputy heads, Party members, and staff from the Committee and its affiliated offices.

In his address, Mr. Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune reflected on the historic significance of December 2, the National Day of the Lao PDR, marking five decades since the nation's founding. He emphasized that this day represents a great victory in the history of the Lao people’s revolutionary struggle—the day when the multi-ethnic Lao people achieved freedom, independence, and full sovereignty, securing an honorable position and equal standing among nations worldwide.

He also reviewed the 50-year journey of national defense and development, underlining the importance of preserving and promoting the traditions and spirit of National Day. Mr. Kikeo urged participants to apply the lessons of the past to their daily work, reinforcing patriotism, unity, and dedication to national progress.

In recalling the life and revolutionary career of President Kaysone Phomvihane, Mr. Kikeo praised him as the founder of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, a national hero, and the architect of the Lao revolution. He described President Kaysone as a visionary leader whose tireless efforts led the Lao people to victory and the establishment of the Lao PDR. His legacy, Mr. Kikeo noted, continues to inspire the nation through his brilliant leadership, moral integrity, modest lifestyle, and unwavering devotion to the country’s development.

The lecture aimed to reaffirm the traditions and historical victories of the Lao people’s national liberation movement and the achievements of the Party and State in nation-building. It also sought to strengthen patriotic education among officials, Party members, soldiers, civil servants, and the multi-ethnic Lao population—encouraging unity, solidarity, and the courageous spirit that have defined the nation’s history.

Furthermore, the session aimed to foster patriotism, self-reliance, and commitment to the socialist path, upholding the Party’s leadership and applying Kaysone Phomvihane Thought as a guiding principle for effective, high-quality work in all sectors of national development.
