(KPL) Huaphan Province recently inaugurated a new suspension bridge spanning the Nam Ma River in Phae village, Ed district, marking a significant infrastructure milestone for the region.
The handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Khampheng Saysompheng, Governor of Huaphan Province, alongside provincial and district officials, representatives of construction companies, and local residents.
Constructed at a cost of over 9 billion kip funded by the Lao government, the 162-meter-long and 2.4-meter-wide bridge features a steel structure supported by reinforced concrete pillars on both sides, ensuring durability and stability.
The project, contracted to Bounthavisap Group, began in early March 2025 and was completed on schedule by early July 2025. With construction now fully finalized, enhancing connectivity and transportation for local communities.
