(KPL) Media representatives from mainstream outlets are visiting Phu Bia Mining’s mining and processing projects in Xaysomboun Province. They are accompanied by Mr. Keoleuthsamay Thammalangsy, Senior Communications Advisor of Phu Bia Mining.


On February 12, the first day of the trip, Mr. Keoleuthsamay explained that the purpose of the media visit was to provide journalists with the opportunity to observe how Phu Bia Mining Co., Ltd. conducts its mining and processing operations in compliance with both Lao and international standards.


“Phu Bia Mining is committed to environmental responsibility toward local people and their communities. I want the journalists to understand the company’s emphasis on safety, as it is our top priority. We ensure that all employees, contractors, and local residents return home safely,” he said.
During the visit, the journalists will tour the gold-silver processing plants in Long Cheng, Phu Kham, and Anouvong District. The Long Cheng plant’s concession is valid until 2035, while the Phu Kham plant is set to cease operations in the first quarter of 2026. Additionally, the media team will visit farm projects supported by Phu Bia Mining, which aim to improve the living conditions of local communities.


During the visit, the journalists will tour the gold-silver processing plants in Long Cheng, Phu Kham, and Anouvong District.
