(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone sent a congratulatory message to Pak Thae Song on January 8, 2025, to commend his appointment as Prime Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The message reads:
“I would like to warmly congratulate you on your appointment as Prime Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea during the Enlarged Meeting of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
I am confident that the longstanding friendship and cooperation between our two countries, supported by the valuable experiences you bring, will continue to be strengthened and expanded. I look forward to working closely with you to promote and enhance the collaboration between our nations, ensuring tangible benefits for the people of the Lao PDR and the DPRK.
Additionally, this cooperation will contribute to fostering peace, stability, and sustainable development in our region and globally.
