KPL (KPL) The Government of China has awarded scholarships to Lao students for the academic year 2023-2024, in the presence of relevant officials.

(KPL) The Government of China has awarded scholarships to Lao students for the academic year 2023-2024, in the presence of relevant officials.

More than 6,000 Lao students have been granted scholarships since the Year 2018-2022, the Government of China has so far contributed to the education, infrastructure, human resources development, training teachers, the constructions of schools, a railway college, and helped the ICT equipment, and supported for visiting China among official delegations, Minister of Education and Sports, Dr. Phout Simmalavong said at the reception took place in Vientiane on 24 Aug.

Every year, over 350 scholarships  are awarded by the government of China to Lao students studying in China, said Charge d'Affaires, Chinese Embassy, Wang Chang  to Laos.

At the reception, Mr Wang Chang congratulated the departing students and encouraged them to make the most of this great opportunity to develop themselves while studying in new surroundings and hoped to bring gained knowledge  and experiences needed in order to contribute to the development of Laos in the future. Furthermore, he added that each and every one of them would also be expected to become a bridge between the two countries.

On behalf of the departing students and representative parents of students, who will study in China expressed their appreciation to the government of China and reaffirmed their strong will for academic achievement.
