(KPL) Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Vansy Kuamua, led a delegation on an official visit to Oudomxay Province, where they explored key natural and cultural tourist destinations, including Nam Kat Yorlapa, the Tai Lue Handicrafts Center, and Phou That Temple, on March 3, 2025.

Nam Kat Yorlapa, located approximately 17 kilometers from Xay District, is renowned as one of the most scenic natural attractions in the province. The site offers a variety of outdoor activities such as forest trekking, hiking, waterfall sightseeing, ATV riding, and bridge crossings, including the famous Tovi Bridge. Visitors can also climb the spider net, ride zip lines, and enjoy panoramic views of Tor Hin Mountain. The area features a biodiversity museum, attracting both domestic and international tourists, especially during major festivals and weekends.

During the visit, the delegation also toured the Tai Lue Handicrafts Center in Phasak Village, Xay District. This center, part of the One District, One Product initiative, specializes in traditional textile handicrafts such as Lao skirts, shirts, fabrics, bags, and baskets. These products are exported to Japan and South Korea and are also popular in domestic markets, particularly in Luang Prabang, Vientiane, and neighboring provinces.

The visit concluded with a trip to Phuthat Xaymoungkun Lattanamingmuong stupa, a revered religious site in Oudomxay. Built over 400-500 years ago during the reign of King Xaysetthathirath, the temple remains an important place of worship for local residents.

This visit highlights the Ministry's efforts to promote and support cultural heritage and sustainable tourism development in Oudomxay Province.
