Xinhua News Agency Donates IT Equipment to Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism

KPL On October 10, 2024, Xinhua News Agency, represented by Zhang Chongfang, Deputy Director of its Asia-Pacific office in Hong Kong, donated IT equipment to the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism (MICT) of Laos.

(KPL) On October 10, 2024, Xinhua News Agency, represented by Zhang Chongfang, Deputy Director of its Asia-Pacific office in Hong Kong, donated IT equipment to the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism (MICT) of Laos. 

The handover ceremony, held in Vientiane, was attended by Phosy Keomanivong, Deputy Minister of Tourism, who received the equipment on behalf of the ministry.

The donated items, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, cameras, projectors, and remote video equipment, will enhance the Ministry’s operational capabilities. Deputy Minister Phosy expressed his gratitude, noting the critical role the equipment will play in supporting news production, office work, and other essential tasks, particularly as Laos prepares to host the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits.

He also expressed optimism for continued cooperation with Xinhua News Agency, highlighting the positive impact of such support on the Ministry's activities.
