(KPL) Authorities of Champassak district, the same name province organized on Jul 2 a cycling event to promote the Don Det-Don Khone area as a popular tourist destination for domestic and foreign visitors.
Don Det and Don Khone are popular islands in the southernmost Lao province of Champassak.
The activity was joined by Governor of Champassak Province Alounxay Sounnalath, Head of the Champassak Provincial Information, Culture and Tourism Department Vannaxay Sattakoun, Chief of Khong District Khamphou Lithisack, representatives of local authorities and people.
The cyclists cycled from Don Det and travelled around Don Khone before they rode in electric cars to tour well-known attractions of the two islands such as the harbor, the old locomotive left over from the French colonial era, and Tad Somphamit Waterfalls.
