KPL (KPL) The Xieng Khuang Provincial Public Security Headquarter burned large amounts of narcotics in a ceremony dedicated to the celebration of the 37th anniversary of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, or World Drug Day (Jun 26, 1987-2024) on Wednesday.

(KPL) The Xieng Khuang Provincial Public Security Headquarter burned large amounts of narcotics in a ceremony dedicated to the celebration of the 37th anniversary of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, or World Drug Day (Jun 26, 1987-2024) on Wednesday.

The drugs, burned in the ceremony held at the Nam Kun rehabilitation centre, Pek district, included 82,800 pills of amphetamine, 18 bars of heroine, 360 cases of dried cannabis, 250 electronic cigarettes, and some collagen, party drugs, and dried poppy.

Col. Chusong Chuxay, Deputy Head of Xieng Khuang Provincial Public Security Headquarter said, “Drug abuse is spreading in every district. Drug traffickers, whether big or small, are working together in a well-connected network to ensure the swift and widespread distribution of narcotics through any means they deem possible.”
