KPL On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, Mr. Bui Xuan Tu, Head of the Representative Office of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in Laos, highlighted the longstanding cooperation between Lao and Vietnamese media organizations, emphasizing their important role in promoting major events and strengthening relations between the two countries.

Mr. Bui reflected on the history and development of Vietnamese journalism and praised the close partnership between media institutions in Laos and Vietnam, noting that both sides have consistently supported one another through information sharing, technical cooperation, and professional exchanges.
He said the VNA has maintained close collaboration with Lao media since establishing its presence in the Lao PDR, working with both central and provincial media organizations. At present, Vietnam operates four media representative offices in Laos: the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Vietnam Television (VTV), Voice of Vietnam (VOV), and Nhan Dan Newspaper.
According to Mr. Bui, these offices serve as important platforms for expanding cooperation through the exchange of news, technical expertise, professional experience, and reciprocal visits by journalists and media personnel.
He particularly highlighted the strong partnership between the VNA Representative Office in Laos and the Lao News Agency (KPL), noting that both organizations have provided extensive support to one another in reporting assignments and media operations in both countries. The cooperation includes the regular exchange of news stories, photographs, video footage, and other journalistic materials.
Mr. Bui also expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Lao Party, Government, and relevant institutions, which has enabled the VNA Representative Office to effectively report on significant developments in Laos for audiences in Vietnam and the wider international community.
Looking ahead, he voiced confidence that cooperation between Lao and Vietnamese media organizations will continue to expand, further contributing to the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic partnership between the two Parties, two States, and peoples.
