Inaugural Hong Kong–Pakse Flight Launched to Boost Tourism

(KPL) The inaugural flight on the Hong Kong–Pakse–Hong Kong route was officially launched on March 5, 2026, marking a new step in strengthening tourism links between Hong Kong and Pakse in Laos.

The maiden flight arrived in Pakse with the presence of provincial leaders of Champasak Province, relevant officials and business representatives, including Mr. Tommy Chen, President of Sithandone Tourism Company.

According to Mr. Chen, the route will operate two flights per week using a Boeing 737 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers.

Flights from Pakse to Hong Kong (HB2527) operate on Mondays and Fridays, departing at 02:50 AM and arriving at 05:55 AM, while flights from Hong Kong to Pakse (HB2526) operate on Thursdays and Sundays, departing at 11:15 PM and arriving at 12:50 AM.

The new route is expected to support tourism growth in Champasak Province and strengthen economic connectivity by attracting more international visitors and investors.

Officials noted that tourism plays an important role in generating foreign currency and supporting national economic development.

Authorities also emphasized the importance of improving hospitality, service quality, environmental cleanliness and visitor safety to ensure tourists feel comfortable and secure during their stay.
