(KPL) A report by World Population Review shows that Laos ranks third in the world for home ownership rates, following Kazakhstan and China, and stands first among ASEAN countries.

The report indicates that about 95.9% of Lao people own their homes, while only 4.1% live in rented accommodation, reflecting one of the highest home ownership rates globally.

The high rate is largely attributed to traditional practices in Laos, where families commonly build houses on inherited land and place strong value on long-term residential stability.

Despite global economic fluctuations, the widespread ownership of homes among Lao citizens provides a strong sense of security and stability in daily life
