Laos Boosts International Education Ties with Japan, Australia, and Luxembourg

(KPL)  On July 14, Minister of Education and Sports, Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek, received courtesy visits from ambassadors of Japan, Australia, and Luxembourg, reaffirming Laos’ commitment to global educational partnerships.

During a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Mr. Koizumi Tsutomu, Minister Thongsalith expressed deep gratitude for Japan’s continued support in education and sports development. Both sides reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in these sectors.

Later the same day, Minister Thongsalith welcomed Australian Ambassador Ms. Megen Jones and Luxembourg Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Thomas Lammar. Discussions centered on ongoing collaboration in human resource development, infrastructure, and education reform. The minister commended the longstanding support from all three nations, noting their significant contributions to capacity building and sustainable educational progress in Laos.

The diplomats congratulated the Minister on his recent appointment and pledged to deepen cooperation, praising Laos’ commitment to inclusive and quality education.

These engagements mark a renewed drive in Laos’ international education agenda, aiming to foster long-term partnerships and improved outcomes for Lao students and educators.
