(KPL) The monthly meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for Jun 2016 took place on Tuesday where several key issues were discussed.
The meeting was chaired by President of the National Assembly Pany Yathortou.
Considered and discussed at the meeting included the amendment to Article 13 of the Law on Government (revised 2015), a draft resolution on the duty performance of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and a draft resolution on the structure and performance of the Secretariat of the National Assembly.
A resolution of the Standing Committee on the structure and duty performance of the commissions of laws; justice; national defense and public security; economics; technology and environment; planning, finance and inspection; and culture-society were also introduced at the meeting.
The meeting also witnessed the consideration of a monitoring plan of the Standing Committee, the reshuffle of staff at the Commissions of the National Assembly and the establishment of a friendship committee of Lao lawmakers and their foreign fellows.
