(KPL) On August 25, 2026, Mr. Vanhsay Phongsavanh, Member of the Politburo of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Party Central Inspection Committee, President of the State Inspection Authority, and Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Authority, led a high-level Lao delegation on an official visit and working session with the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam in Hanoi.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee and Inspector-General of the Government Inspectorate of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on Party and State inspection work, the resolution of petitions and complaints, corruption prevention and control, digital transformation, the development of inspection databases, and personnel training.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan affirmed that the Laos-Vietnam relationship is one of great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion, cultivated and strengthened by the leaders and peoples of the two countries over many years. He emphasized the importance of continuing consultation mechanisms, exchanging delegations and expert teams, and sharing experience in inspection, petition and complaint resolution, and anti-corruption work.

Mr. Vanhsay Phongsavanh expressed appreciation for the warm welcome extended to the Lao delegation and reaffirmed that the Party, State, and people of Laos attach great importance to the traditional relationship between the two countries. He briefed the Vietnamese side on the overall situation and development of inspection work in the Lao PDR.

The meeting marked another important step in strengthening practical and effective cooperation between the State Inspection Authority of the Lao PDR and the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam, while contributing to further deepening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
